GREGORY T.

Chatelain, Pe

Owner and principal engineer of Chatelain Engineering, brings over 10 years of experience in civil design and project management. His background includes both private and public land development with expertise in grading and stormwater design.

Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Louisiana State University and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Florida. 

Early in his career, Greg gained experience in project management overseeing large-scale road and bridge construction projects and the development of levees, pump stations, and flood control structures. Prior to founding Chatelain Engineering, Greg worked with two civil engineering firms in Central Florida honing his skills in land development. This experience combined gives him the ability to see beyond the planning phase into construction.

Originally from New Orleans, LA, Greg now resides in Winter Park, FL with his wife, Brandi, and their two young children, Eden and Ezra. Together, they enjoy camping, fishing, beach vacations, and other outdoor adventures. The Chatelains are also actively involved in their house church community, Ekklesia.

Emily R

Senior Civil Engineer

Emily brings over 8 years of experience in civil engineering, specializing in transportation and infrastructure projects. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Florida.

Before joining Chatelain Engineering, Emily worked on multimillion-dollar roadway improvement projects, focusing on traffic flow optimization, drainage systems, and pedestrian safety enhancements. Her keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills make her an invaluable asset in both project planning and execution.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys hiking, yoga, and volunteering at STEM outreach programs for young engineers. She lives in Orlando with her husband, James, and their golden retriever, Luna.

Sophia L

Civil Engineer-In-Training

Sophia is a dedicated and detail-oriented civil engineer-in-training with a passion for sustainable design and community development. She earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Florida State University and is currently working toward her professional engineering licensure.

Before joining Chatelain Engineering, Sophia gained hands-on experience in stormwater management and utility design, working on both residential and commercial land development projects. She enjoys problem-solving and collaborating with teams to create efficient and environmentally responsible engineering solutions.

Outside of work, Sophia loves kayaking, photography, and traveling to national parks. She is also an advocate for women in STEM and mentors young female engineers through local outreach programs.
